Saskatchewan public libraries make a wide variety of electronic services available to their users. These include:

Gateway

The library catalogue is a search tool for finding books, music cds, videos, dvds, and magazines available at the library. Each library has its own catalogue. In addition, the Z39.50 Gateway provides access to all public library catalogues in Saskatchewan with a single search. Ask at your library about borrowing materials.

Do you need help finding information, identifying that book or getting a quick fact? Libraries offer an online question and answer service. Each library has its own, but there is also a province-wide network of public library professionals that will answer your questions through the Ask Us! Service. You can ask a question, day or night, right here, right now.


Reference Databases

Libraries subscribe to magazines and journals so you don’t have to! In Saskatchewan, libraries work together to subscribe to a province-wide selection of more than 28 databases that contain over 7000 full-text magazines and newspapers, available online.
